'There is a tide': Kernel effects on spectral learning of dynamical systems.
Supervised by Prof. Massi Pontil.
- Modelled graphs as dynamical systems and evaluated self-supervised representation learning across dynamical regimes.
- Designed controlled experiments; used nested validation; held-out splits, correlation analysis, and bias–variance decomposition.
- Developed a composite diagnostic to compare kernel-induced representations in operator learning, contributing to a proposed hierarchical, conditioning-driven selection principle; extended

- Build laddered verifiers and adversarial cheat batteries for long-horizon (multi-step, multi-file) RL task environments, targeting shortcut behaviour such as reward hacking, evaluator gaming, memorisation, and specification gaming.
- Use planted structural mistakes to distinguish genuine competence from surface fixes, evaluating both missed cheats and incorrectly flagged competent behaviour, reflected in a progressive scoring policy.
- Ship reproducible Python evaluation harnesses with controlled splits, diagnostics, and adversarial stress tests.
